Summary

Workhouse first shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. Blandford Union Workhouse was built in 1856 to 1857. The architect was Christopher C Creeke. It was later known as the Blandford Poor Law Institution. The building was mostly demolished in the 1970s and the remaining structure is now part of a nursing home.
