Full Description
Also known as Ellis's Brewery, it was probably built in the 1830s, being run in conjunction with the adjacent Town Mill in its early days. It was water-powered until as late as 1872, but then converted to steam. It acquired some of the brewing plant and tied houses of Habgoods of Wimborne in 1916. It closed in 1935 after it was sold to Hall and Woodhouse. Almost all of the buildings survive, including the lower stage of a kiln built on the foundations of an earlier cockpit. <3>
