A quarry shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1864, hollow shown on subsequent maps but not marked as a quarry. {1}
The site of the quarry is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {2} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
