Monument record MDO2328 - Lime kiln at Old Wood, Rampisham

Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) Ordnance Survey map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who recorded that some (40-59%) of the structure survived, and that it was in fair condition.
