Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1901) Ordnance Survey map and on the 1927 revision of the Ordnance Survey map. The date of the kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. This kiln was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who noted that very little (1-19%) of the structure survived in bad condition, and that it had a timber lintel to the draw arch.
