Please read our .

Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the 1901 Ordnance Survey map, but not shown on the 1928 map. The date of the kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. This kiln was visited by Peter Stanier in 1992-93, and he noted that very little of the kiln survived; what remained was in bad condition and it was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.
