'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of two storeys with brick walls and tile-covered roofs. ... (17) APPLE TREE COTTAGE, 30 yds. E. of (16), with walls of cob and thatched roofs, was built in the early 19th century as a pair of cottages presenting a unified design with a central chimney-stack and a roof hipped at each end. The N. front too is exactly symmetrical with a doorway towards each end flanking a group of windows, two on the ground floor and two above. '
