Full Description

A barrow recorded by the RCHME as 16ft in diameter and 1½ feet high. (Not listed by L V Grinsell, Dorset Barrows Mss 1934-55). <1>

SY 57378432. a grass covered, ditchless mound. 6.5m diameter and 0.4m high, situated at the foot of a steep hill. This mound has the form of a bowl barrow and although small it probably is one. <2>

SY 57378432. Abbotsbury 22. Listed as a bowl barrow 7 paces diameter and 1 1/2 ft high, with reference to OS record. <3>

SY 575843. Round barrow 250 yards south of Chapel Coppice. Scheduled. (See illus.). (4)

The feature is visible as a very slight earthwork on Lidar imagery taken in 2006 <5> and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
