Full Description
Extensive remains of medieval strip fields are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs {1-4} across West Hill. The site lies on rough ground between Swyre Road and the B3157. It was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

'Medieval field remains survive in fragments in several parts of the parish: … d. On West Hill overlooking West Bexington, at 534874, was a flight of 5 shallow strip lynchets, 500' long with 30' wide treads, and destroyed in 1964.'
