Full Description
Possible strip lynchets of medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs at Hammiton Hill. The possibility that some of the terracing may be of geological origin cannot be ruled out. <1>
Earthworks of possible medieval lynchets on Hammiton Hill centred at SY 5106 9132 visible as substantial earthwork banks which can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. Further lynchets have been recorded to the south-west. <2>
