Monument record MDO21853 - Old Lime kiln, Hengistbury Head, Southbourne, Bournemouth

A lime kiln described as ‘old limekiln’ on the first edition (1886-1890) Ordnance Survey 25-inch map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be nineteenth century.

The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be mid-late nineteenth century.

The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.(3)
