Full Description

A field boundary is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It is located on a hilltop just to the north-west of Hampton Plantations, orientated north-west to south-east. It appears to cut a rectangular enclosure (MDO21696) which may be related to a group of larger enclosures (MDO21690-91 and MDO21698) of probable Iron Age/Romano-British origin located here, suggesting it post-dates these and so is probably medieval or post-medieval in date. {1-2}
