Full Description
A substantial settlement of possible Iron Age/Romano-British origin is visible as cropmarks and soilmarks on aerial photographs, located on a plateau just to the south-west of Hogleaze Farm. It has been completely plough-levelled and as a result the edges of the features are hard to define. It appears to comprise of numerous sub-square living/storage areas connected by a network of pathways. It is likely to be comtemporary with the surrounding Iron Age/Romano-British field systems (MDO21648, MDO21657, MDO21521). {1-4}
