'Warne excavated two unlocated barrows (C.T.D., mopr, nos. 7 and 8) on 'Pokeswell Down, adjoining the Ridgeway'; one of these may be (11), in the Northdown Barn Group (R.13). Otherwise only two certain barrows are known, emphasising the break in the distribution of barrows on the Ridgeway E. of East Hill Group (R.14). A barrow, possibly one of those excavated by Warne, is shown about 715848 on O.S. (1811).'
