Full Description

Round barrow of possible bowl-type, now 35ft x 29ft due to ploughing at base and 4 1/2 ft high. <1> <3>

SY74678416. Bowl barrow in pasture; not ploughed over but has been damaged by plouging at the edges. Diameter 12.0m. by 8.5m., height 1.5m. no visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>

The probable site of a Bronze Age barrow, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs <6>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
