Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) and the 1927 revision of the Ordnance Survey maps. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who noted that very little(1-19%) of the kiln structure survived in bad condition, and that it was not possible to determine what kind of kiln construction this was.
