Full Description

Slight earthworks and soilmarks of a linear ditch and bank extending for at least 200m WNW-ESE off Green Hill to the edge of White Hill . It skirts an extant barrow at c. SY 5743 9066 before dipping into the coombe below White Hill, skirting the edge of the south-facing scarp where it appears to be attached to a D-Shaped ditched enclosue at SY 5734 9070 visible as an earthwork. It is not clear what date these two features are or how they relate to one another. These were seen on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. <1>

A short stretch of double ditched trackway is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is probably an old route of the White Hill Track and may be of medieval or even earlier origin. <2>
