Full Description

A small pit with steep sides and a flat bottom measuring about 0.8m across and 0.9m deep was found during a watching brief in the course of the construction of a new club house, Wesley Lane, Charmouth in 1999. It was filled with greyish-brown soil with gravel and charcoal flecks in the base and chert rubble in a clay matrix above. No dating eveidence was recovered. (1)
