Summary

A Bronze Age bell barrow on Eggardon Hill, forming part of a barrow cemetery of at least eleven round barrows. The mound has a diameter of 12 metres and a height of 1.3 metres. The ditch is 2.5 metres wide and 0.2 metres deep, except on the east side. Only faint traces of a berm are visible. The top of the mound has been dug into.

Full Description

A bell-barrow: A small example, with a hollow in the top of the mound. Diameter of mound 27 feet and height 2 1/2 feet. The berm is 8 1/2 feet wide and the ditch 7 feet wide and 6 inches deep. <1> <3-5>

One of a group of barrows which are grass covered, but on arable land, and have all been ploughed over in recent years.
Barrow G: This bell barrow shows only faint traces of a berm. The mound is 12 metres in diameter, and 1.3 metre high. There is a ditch 2.5 metres wide and 0.2 metres deep, except on the east side. The mound has been dug into on top. <7>

One of three barrows South of the disc barrow. Bell barrow with an overall diam of 60ft., the centre has been much disturbed but the mound was approximately 23ft. In diam and 2.5ft. High. {3}
