Monument record MDO21243 - Chalk pits, West Hill Farm, Winterbourne Abbas

Thirty-eight pits are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs. They are probably the sites of post medieval chalk pits. Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but unclear if detected.

Thirty-eight pits are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and LIDAR to the north-east of West Hill Farm. They are probably the sites of post medieval chalk pits. {1-6}

Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but unclear if detected within field 44D. Much of the survey data from this field was affected by the presence of cables.
