An 'old limekiln' is recorded at this location on the 1880 OS map {1}.

A circular hollow, measuring approximately 6.6 metres in diameter, is also visible here as an earthwork on aerial photographs {2} and may be related. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
