Summary
The northern portion of an undated rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Interpreted as the possible site of a medieval moat by air photo interpreters. However, photographs taken in 1972 show this feature is a football pitch.

Full Description
The northern portion of an undated rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The enclosure is 97m across, with an enclosing ditch 12m wide. The massive nature of the enclosing ditch is suggestive of a medieval moated site. {1-2}
Vertical aerial photographs taken in 1972 show a football pitch in this location.
