Full Description

(Centred at SY 67059516). Field system taken from air photos in January-March 1949 by R.J.C Atkinson. <1>

A. centred at SY67059516. No trace in arable and pasture land. B. centred at SY 66909499. Visible on AP CPE/UK/2431/4134, but insufficient air cover available at field investigation stage to permit classification from air photographs. Fragmentary traces visible in pasture slope. <2>

The open fields of Pulston were enclosed before 1770. Five contour strip lynchets of these fields lie on the valley side 300 yds south of Pulston Barn (SY 668950). <3>
