Full Description
A ring-ditch, 14m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. A small gap in its circuit may be a deliberate feature. The site lies 12m to the north-east of a possible class II Neolithic henge (MDO20918) and 260m to the south-west of a Neolithic long barrow (MDO409). It also lies within a Bronze Age barrow group (MDO406, 407, 408, 410, 411) It's location within this important group of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments makes an interpretation difficult and whilst it may be a Bronze Age barrow, the gap in its circuit suggests that it may equally be an earlier hengiform monument. {1}
