Full Description

A sub circular bank and ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks within Puddletown Forest on aerial photographs. It is marked on the OS 1st edition map and is probably the site of a post medieval pond. It lies in the vicinity of a number of Bronze Age round barrows but a prehistoric origin seems unlikely as the barrows have been marked as such by the OS surveyors but this feature and an adjacent structure (MDO20571) have been left unannotated. {1-2}
