Full Description

A scatter of 20 small pits are visible as cropmarks and rounded earthworks on aerial photographs. One is marked as an Old Chalk Pit of the OS 1st Edition Map. The features are therefore considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits although a natural origin for some of them cannot be ruled out.{1-3}
