Monument record MDO20438 - Stinsford: barrow

A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a number of probable round barrow sites, of Prehistoric or Roman date, seen as cropmarks southwest of Eweleaze Barn, at: … E - SY 7112 9205 possible large central pit <1>

Probable Bronze Age round barrow showing as a cropmark ring ditch 38m across on aerial photographs <2>. The site appears to have a large central pit and is one of six possible barrows forming a linear barrow cemetery. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
