Westbury is mentioned in the Lay Subsidy of 1327 as a tithing containing 33 taxpayers, including a weaver a 'honyman' and a cook [1]. By the lay subsidy roll of 1332 it contains only 17 taxpayers [].

It is also mentioned as a tithing in a Court Roll dated 1405 [3].
