Sank following collision with barque LUFRA

Hartlepool Mail, Monday, 22/7/1889: The barque Lufra, London for Hobart Town, collided with the barque Bondevennen, Kragero for Milford Haven laden with ice, off St. Alben’s Head on Saturday night. The cabin of the Bondevennen took fire through the lamp over-turning, and the vessel sank. The crew were picked up and land at Dover. The Lufra anchored in St. Helen’s Roads. The damage is unknown. One boat with four men is missing from the Lufra. “Sank after collision with barque Lufra.
