Full Description
Two anti-tank blocks sited at the southern end of the approach road to Avon Beach were removed in 1978. Other pyramid topped blocks no longer exist (1).
Two lines of Second World War anti-tank cubes are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1940 across an entrance to the beach at the eastern end of Mudeford and north east of Sandhills Carvan Park. The cubes extend from from south west to north east for a distance of approximately 77 m, then turn inland to the west for a distance of 10 m. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
