Monument record MDO19874 - Sherborne School, Sherborne; post-medieval building B

Evidence for a building to the east of the east range of monastic buildings at Sherborne School was recovered during excavations to the north of The Slype during 1974-6. This building utilised the former east wall of the monastic east range and a further E-W aligned wall butted against it. The later wall was built in the late 17th-early 18th century and shown from cartographic evidence to form part of a building. A further wall was added in the 18th-19th centuries.

Evidence for a building to the east of the east range of monastic buildings at Sherborne school was recovered during excavations to the north of The Slype during 1974-6.
