Hurricane N2485 Shot down by bf109 of 111/JG27 and crashed off Portland(1)
Sergeant-Pilot Frederick John Power Dixon in Hurricane N2485 of 501 Squadron from RAF Middle Wallop was shot down at 08.00 today … ten miles south east of Portland Bill. Baled out and body later recovered off France. (2)
