Full Description
(Centred ST 72750275) A flight of four Medieval type strip lynchets in pasture, on a north facing valley slope. The terraces, now ploughed down, extend for about 100.0m east to west and average 10.0m wide with risers up to 0.8m high. Poorly defined on OS air photograph <1.1>. <1>

‘(40) CULTIVATION REMAINS. Each of the three former tithings of Piddletrenthide had its own open-field system; they were finally enclosed in 1817 (Map and Award, D.C.R.O.). … To the N.E. of Plush (728028) further strip lynchets, now very fragmentary, occur in an area that was also enclosed by 1770.’
