Full Description
(SY 69429068). Former chapel in Durngate Street, a single-storeyed brick building with front faced in stucco, is probably the Independent or Congregational chapel founded in 1776 and later used as a British School. Now used as a storehouse.
The building was of brick with front faced in stucco, one storey, with a hipped slate roof. The south front had moulded eaves cornice and parapet, with two windows with plain raised architraves, round arches, keystones and inmposts. Against the south wall and crossing the window openings was a beam which may have carried a gallery. The east side had a single round-headed window. <1-2>
