Full Description
A very curious form of armlet obtained from Dorchester and exhibited by the kindness of Mr E Cunnington. Unlike Roman Armillas, it has a core of lead and is covered by a fascia which may be bronze, or, more likely, copper. It may be Saxon. <1>
From Wollaston Field. Museum Acc No. 1884.9.136. <2>
(Area SY 69439057). Woolaston Field is north of Woolaston Road. The armlet is probably not Roman or Saxon. <3>
The area is partly built upon, but largely grass covered. <4>
