Full Description

A chapel once situated on Chapel Marsh Farm was probably destroyed about the time of the Reformation, and its walls are now entirely removed although the site is still discernible. The foundation and maintenance of the chapel are uncertain. <1>

The siting falls within a rectangular enclosure of 23.0m NE-SW by 15.0 metres NW-SE, bounded by an unsurveyable bank 0.1 metre high on three sides and by a modern hedge bank on the south-east side. The whole is grass-covered, and no traces of stonework could be found. <3>
