A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs to the north west of Holworth, Owermoigne.

Full Description

SY 76298372. A scrub-covered mound, probably a bowl barrow, 13.0m diameter x 1.5m high on the north where it has been accentuated by ploughing. Much burrowed and ditchless. (Not mentioned by Grinsell or RCHM). <1>

SY 76288372. Probable barrow, in arable. Diameter 10.0m, height 1.7m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <3>

A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north west of Holworth, Owermoigne. The barrow is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 18 m by 9 m. <4> The barrow is still visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs of 2005. <5> This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
