Full Description
An infant burial was found during excavations on the site of Applegates, 34 Trinity Street, Dorchester in 1971 (1) (2). This burial is within a circular scoop and lies to the rear of the early Roman cill-beam building found on the site and is below the corridor of the succeeding Late Roman building. It is unclear whether this burial is associated with either building, but perhaps it was a foundation burial within the Late Roman building, which dates to post-AD280.
