Full Description

A curvilinear enclosure is clearly visible at SY 72028230 on the south-facing slope of Osmington Hill. (Not mentioned by RCHM). <1>

A low stony bank, at most 0.1m high, running directly down a steep south-facing slope for about 20 metres, is the only remaining trace of this feature. The southern part is now within a modern holiday camp. <2>

The site was digitally plotted from aerial photographs {4} during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. It was considered likely to overlie the medieval strip lynchets described in MWX3629 and is probably not an antiquity. Most likely it is the line of a post medieval or modern trackway.
