Full Description

A field at Merehay Manor, Beaminster, has produced much medieval pottery dated to the 12th century by Mr J. Stevens Cox. Capt. Cobham states that the site has until recently been an orchard, but has been ploughed, revealing pottery over the whole field but especially towards the north end at ST 487 028. [1]
