Full Description
1. A type 22 Pillbox located overlooking the weir on the river Frome near Peacock lodge.
2. Standard brick and concrete construction.
3. Dimensions: Bricks 9.5"x4.5". Walls 19.5" thick. Concrete roof built in 5" horizontal bands. Internal blast wall 39"x45"x9.5". Internal wall width 5'9". Internal height 76". Concrete floor covered in flood debris. Entrance - step over into entrance porch and then through internal entrance, down 30" into pillbox. Five loopholes 15"x8" externally widening 20 28"x14" internally. All cast in concrete. Pistol port 7.5"x7.5" externally widening to 14"x9" internally. Outside 5' of structure protruding aboground level. Brick end elevations exposed on all corners. <1-3>
