Full Description

<1> Best, R, 1999, Letter from Rupert Best (Unpublished document). SDO14563.

‘Hincknowle - stone stile. We have three examples of a stone style I have not seen elsewhere … The style is a rectangular stone, lying in its side, with a round foothole cut right through it. All are contained within existing hedges … at the top of a very steep bank above the lane to the house. It is unused and there is no record on any map that we have that it formed part of a public footpath.’
