Summary

A farmhouse and attached barn thought to have been built in the eighteenth century. The building has cob walls covered in plaster and a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks. Surviving featurs of the interior are reported to include two open fireplaces with the remains of bread ovens. The large barn at the rear of the house has a projecting cart porch.

‘Monuments (8–41) unless otherwise described are of two storeys with walls of rubble or cob and thatched roofs; they are of the late 18th or early 19th century. The cottages are generally built on a two-room plan with a central entrance. … (34) House (832870) was built on a three-room plan with end chimneys. It has been modernised and the centre part rearranged. The upper windows retain horizontal sliding sashes. Barn to N. is contemporary with the house.’
