‘Monuments (8–41) unless otherwise described are of two storeys with walls of rubble or cob and thatched roofs; they are of the late 18th or early 19th century. The cottages are generally built on a two-room plan with a central entrance. … Monuments (35—41), in E. Burton, were all built as cottages on a two-room plan with one end chimney and are mostly of the early 18th century. Some have the upper storey partly in the roof. … (40) House (832871) has been enlarged and modernised.’
