Full Description

Moreton House, partly built in 1742 but mainly constructed between 1744-45, replaced a manor house built by Robert Frampton in 1580 (a). The east front was demolished in 1779 and the house extended; the work being completed by 1781. The main house is of two storeys with cellars and attics and brick walls faced in ashlar. Early 19th century and modern alteration were also made. <2>
