Summary

A farmhouse thought to have been built in the eighteenth century, altered and enlarged in the nineteenth century. The building has stone walls part covered in plaster, roofs part stone tile and part slate, with brick chimney stacks. A carving of the Mansel coat of arms is set over the door. The house has an H-shaped plan, incorporating the original house and adjacent barn, linked at the rear to an outbuilding range of store rooms with granary over.

‘(6) KIMMERIDGE FARM (immediately W.) is of two storeys with stone walls and stone-slated roofs. It was remodelled and enlarged to its present form early in the 19th century and the back wing bears a date stone of 1829. Over the front entrance is a later shield-of-arms of Mansel.’
