Full Description
The chapel of Saint John the Evangelist at Creech Grange has walls faced with local ashlar and roofs of stone slate and modern asbestos. It was built in 1746 by Denis Bonds of Creech Grange, and originally consisted of a nave with a small sanctuary entered through a mid 12th century archway (a notable Romanesque feature) brought from the priory church at East Holme, and a west tower.
In the 19th century the nave and tower were rebuilt, and the north transet chancel and vestry were added. <2>
