Summary

A detached cottage which appears to have been built in the eighteenth century, though possibly earlier in origin. The building has walls of stone with brick detail, and a thatchd roof with brick chimney stack. Surviving internal features are reported to include a ceiling beam and a large open fireplace.

‘Unless otherwise described the houses in this parish are of one storey and attics, the walls are of rubble and the roofs thatched. … The following Monuments (10–13) were built in the early 19th century. … (13) Cottage, 30 yds. N.W. of (12).’
