Summary

‘A house thought to have been built in the late 18th century. The building has walls covered in plaster and a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks. In 1970 this monument was reported having a largely unaltered interior. It may have been a gamekeeper’s cottage.’

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of cob mostly faced with brick or stucco and with thatched roofs. They are of the late 18th century. … The following monuments are similar to the foregoing but of the early 19th century. … (22–24) Cottages W. of Flowers Drove (947960, 946958 and 956957).’
