Summary

A detached cottage built in the seventeenth century but with many later additions and alterations. The building has walls of brick and a thatched roof with a brick chimney stack.

Full Description

Detached cottage, formerly used as a chapel. 17th century origin, enlarged circa 1730 when converted to a Presbyterian chapel, which it remained until 1820 when again conveted to a house. Main range at right angles to road. Brick walls, south gable wall plastered, thatched roof, central brick stack. One storey and attic. Entrance in south gable. (1-2)
